About Us
Appletree Capital Ltd. is a Chicago area based private investment firm engaged to manage, invest and participate in seed, early-stage and developing companies.
Our business is to grow and nurture companies and, as they mature and develop, "pick from the tree" those companies we believe are ripe for a sale, merger, or public offering. Appletree's team is comprised of professionals with backgrounds in private equity and merchant banking with an expertise at the direct operating level. We are skilled in working with entrepreneurs, because we are entrepreneurs ourselves.
Our Business
The business of Appletree is to acts as an "incubator" of seed and early-state entities where our expertise can create value and success. Appletree is involved with early-stage entities in their formation, financial and operational structure and in their direct management. Appletree believes that competition equals jobs, and incubating new companies creates jobs the country needs.
We participate as an active investor in the companies to which we have created. Our focus is squarely on companies that have the potential to become publicly traded through an S-1 registration statement, by a reverse merger, or sale to another party.

Appletree Capital Ltd. has direct investment and involvement with four early-stage entities. The company is currently involved in:
- Metrecal Nutrition, Inc. – Developing an established brand in the meal replacement category with an initial $30 million sales target.

- Cha Cha Cachaca Co. – Distribution and importing Cha Cha brand of cachaca from Brazil. Cachaca is also known as Brazilian rum. (Concept)
- Byers Fruit Company – Importing tropical fruits from Central and South America. (Concept)
- Wintree Corporation – Early stage development of a brand of hotels and suites for operators that want a low-cost option of having the support of a national brand to operate from. (Concept)
